The celebration traditionally lasts for 15 days, starting with the New Year’s Eve and ending with the Lantern Festival. During this time, families reunite, delicious food is prepared, and red lanterns and decorations are put up to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits.

The Chinese zodiac also plays a significant role in the celebration, with each year being associated with one of 12 animals. 2023 is the year of Rabbit. According to Chinese culture, people born in the year of Rabbit are said to be hardworking, reliable, and honest.
